Robbins, Browning, Godwin & Marchini, LLP

ARTHUR F. GODWIN

Partner

Mr. Godwin serves both public and private clients in obtaining, developing, and protecting their rights to high quality and reliable water supplies. More often than not, this involves complex negotiations among competing interests and state and federal resource agencies. Art’s clients also benefit from his background and experience in understanding and complying with the regulatory and environmental laws that govern water diversion, use, transfer, and management.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Godwin spent 12 years with the California Department of Water Resources as a water resources planner and environmental specialist. Art has represented public and private clients in the fields of water resources and environmental law since 1990. He provides counsel on obtaining and defending water rights and water supplies and obtaining environmental compliance approvals for development projects under local, state, and federal laws.

Art and his wife, Penny, have two daughters. His hobbies include backpacking and cycling.
